An exhausting day comes to an end. After work, it’s nice to discuss things – until the world is saved once more. Is there anything that ChatGPT 4 can contribute? Is it fun to have a discussion with a well-aligned AI? Today I will try to challenge the AI by playing devil’s advocate.
Since I have gotten access to the Midjourney AI that can generate images from text I had a lot of fun, but also many frustrating moments. Very often the AI just won’t understand what I am talking about. The following is intended to show a few examples. Here come the good, the bad and the disturbing!
Solving Scramble Squares Puzzles is easy! Just import the Legespiel-Solver from Github into your favorite IDE, implement a GameConfig, run the Solver class using this new configuration and you are done! OK, I guess it is a bit difficult, if you don’t happen to be a software-engineer. That’s why I built an (hopefully) easy-to-use web application.
Hardly any other subject can hit a freshman as hard as those strange “algebraic structures” during your first math course. You started out to solve real problems and now this professor explains to you, with a straight face, that there really exists such a thing as addition and multiplication and that surprisingly 0 is not equal to 1. What’s that got to do with the real world?
This list covers variations of a certain kind of tile based game called Scramble Squares (in German: “Legespiel”) in which square cards must be placed to form a larger square so that the images of all cards fit together at the edges. It shows the number of solutions and what they look like exactly. All solutions were calculated with the software Legespiel-Solver. The results also make it possible to estimate how difficult the respective Scramble Squares puzzle really is.
